Join Us in Worship, Prayer & Fellowship
Located in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, Calvary Chapel Cornerstone is a non-denominational church, affiliated with the Calvary Chapel Association of churches, and takes its name from Ephesians 2:19-22: "Now therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
A cornerstone is defined as “an important quality or feature on which a particular thing depends or is based.” Calvary Chapel Cornerstone, like the Apostle Paul, see Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone of the church. Isaiah 28:16 says: “Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.”
Calvary Chapel Cornerstone strives to serve as a tested and precious cornerstone for Colorado Springs. We will continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, to those who need His love, mercy, and salvation.
Our supreme desire is to know Jesus Christ, to be conformed into His image and to emulate His loving nature, through the power of His Holy Spirit and the washing of His Word. We invite you to join us at Calvary Chapel Cornerstone to receive God’s message of everlasting life through His Son Jesus Christ.
Secure donations can be made to the church. By clicking the donation button below you will be open a separate Web page where you can make your secure donation.
We are a non-denominational church affiliated with Calvary Chapel Association. We are not opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ. We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
We believe worship of God should be spiritual. Therefore, we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship, but there also exists a need to balance that flexibility with the authority of Scripture. 1st & 3rd Friday, 1 p.m.
At Calvary Chapel Cornerstone, it is our joy and privilege to make the study of the Bible a major priority at each of our services. We are firmly committed to teaching and explaining the Bible, pointing people to Jesus Christ through the simple, clear, and relevant communication of God's Word.
As a family focused church, it is our desire to minister to believers of all ages. So, we enjoy singing the timeless hymns that have long been a part of the Christian tradition, as well as introducing new music and singing songs that are relevant to the entire Body of Christ. We believe that a healthy church should meet the needs of each of its members while not excluding anyone.
